Our Story

In 2016, three women met, by accident, or fate, in mid Wales.

They discovered they shared a passion for well-being, learning new skills, bringing people together to enjoy new experiences, local foods and having fun.

Clwb Pwdin was created out of this connection, and will be launched at the beautiful and historic Abernant House. Read more about the events on the next page.

*Samantha has a passion for cooking and food. She is a completely self taught chef with a passion for seasonal and local food, menus full of great flavours and catering for specialised dietary needs. She has a real passion for proving that healthy and specialised diets don't have to be boring but can be indulgent, delicious and special. The kitchen is her happy place and she likes to feed people well!
Samantha is a Trainee Holistic Health Coach, Private Chef and House keeper. A mum of 3 with a love of holistic health, food, puddings and chocolate!

*In 2014 Jo set up the successful country house holiday business at the beautiful Abernant House near Builth Wells and manages the business and estate. She has lived and worked in mid Wales for the last 25 years having had careers in the police service, NHS and private sector. She has recently qualified as the only Certified Zentangle Teacher in Wales and runs workshops and classes at Abernant House as well as other venues.
Jo is passionate about providing good customer care, whether it is to guests who stay at Abernant or students in her classes and has had excellent reviews from both.
With her creative flare, attention to detail and knowledge you are sure of her personal attention.

*Emma is an artist, tutor, and events manager, and loves creating opportunities for people to relax, focus on their creativity, and enjoy some precious "me time", which we sometimes forget in this busy world - as a mum to three girls she knows how important this is!
Emma runs many popular workshops and courses throughout Wales and the borders (find out more here), as well as very successful Artisan Markets; she also advises on how to utilise social media and websites for those running small businesses, especially artists and craftspeople. She is passionate about ensuring a warm, inclusive, friendly and interesting experience for all. Clwb Pwdin brings together her love for supporting local businesses, local produce and a chance to celebrate amazing food.

Emma, Jo and Sam look forward to welcoming you to Clwb Pwdin, either at one of our venues, or at yours.
